Meet Our Department

Our award-winning faculty members combine a passion for teaching with expertise in their field to support students to explore all aspects of writing and language use and to prepare students to enter a world where writing is not only textual, but also digital, visual, social, and networked.

Faculty in the Department of English are award-winning poets, novelists, and writers. Our faculty publish original research and contribute to teaching and scholarship in rhetoric, writing, literature, film, digital studies, and technical communication. 

Students who take classes in writing studies also benefit from the experience and knowledge of our full time professional instructors, graduate instructors, and teaching assistants.
