Educational Policies and Curriculum Committee (EPCC)

Course, curriculum and academic policy development in CLAS originates with our faculty at the departmental and/or program level. Once proposals are developed and approved at that level, they should be forwarded for review at the college level to the CLAS Educational Policies and Curriculum Committee (EPCC). From there, further internal review and approval may be required by the CLAS Budget Priorities Committee, the CLAS Council, the CLAS Council of Chairs, etc.  These reviewing bodies make recommendations to the CLAS Dean for final college-level approvals.  Depending on the type of proposal, university and state levels of review and approval may be required by the University Curriculum Committee, Graduate Council, the Board of Regents, etc..

Submitting a Proposal

EPCC reviews new courses, course revisions, new programs, program revisions, and policy additions or changes (see Roles and Functions for details). All proposals, and their supporting documents/materials, must be submitted no later than 14 days prior to the scheduled EPCC meeting (see Meeting Schedule for meeting dates and proposal deadlines).

To submit a proposal, please use the following links. Note all additional information required for each type of proposal. Please reach out to CLAS.EPCC@ucdenver.edu with any questions, or to submit any additional supporting documents after completing a proposal form.
