Why Do Students Visit?
The Writing Center’s mission is to support student writing and teach students to be more confident, capable writers. Students come to the Writing Center to feel less isolated/for connection, to ask questions about effective communication, for honest feedback and validation. They come to get started, when they’re stuck, and when they feel basically finished.
How Do Students Visit?
- Students come see us in-person for 50-minute-long sessions in the City Heights Learning Commons or at the Auraria Library.
- Students schedule live-online appointments and asynchronous Undergraduate Drop Box and Graduate Drop Box appointments. Graduate students also use our hybrid asynchronous/live-online service known as the Graduate Drop Box Live.
- Students who just want a quiet place to write or to ask a quick question come to Open Table: A Drop-In Writing Space.
- Students attend free workshops on a variety of topics either in-person or via Zoom.
