Bio-Logue - Bio-Logue Fall 2019 Alumni Newsletter

Dear Alumni and Friends 

The 2019 Fall semester was a busy one for the Department.  Our department continues to advance the research mission of CU Denver. Our faculty and graduate students traveled nationally and internationally to speak at conferences and present their research. The highlights of the past semester were graduating two alumns of the Ph.D. program, Dr. Dr. Feyza Yilmaz, Ph.D., and Dr. Elizabeth (Libby) Pansing, Ph.D.; and CU Denver Biology club winning the Milo award for best student club.

Ignacio Escobar Blazques, a former student of Dr. Cheri Jones, recently reached out to her to let her know that he has been admitted to the Saba University School of Medicine!  Congratulations Ignacio and Dr. Jones!  

Hunter Sauerland, a former student of Dr. Amanda Charlesworth, recently reached out to her to let her know that he has been admitted to the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences for the Air Force, starting Fall 2020.  Congratulations Hunter!  

Medha Gudavalli, a former student of Dr. Amanda Charlesworth, recently reached out to her to let her know that she is in her first year of medical school at University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.   Congratulations Medha!  

Ben James, a former student of Dr. Chris Phiel, recently reached out to him to let him know that he is accepted into the University of Colorado MS-Anesthesiology Program.    Congratulations Ben!
