Dr. Swallow is committed to promoting the growth, well-being, and engagement of all students along their individual education journey and pathways as the foundation for advancing excellence in teaching and research. In his role as Associate Dean for Student Success, he promotes undergraduate recruitment, retention, graduation, and overall student success. He supervises the CLAS Undergraduate Advising Office, Academic Standards Committee, and the College's Office of Recruitment, Retention and Student Success. He also collaborates with offices across the university on a range of issues including transfer credit policies, relations with community colleges, student conduct, and student support. Dr. Swallow is also a professor in the Department of Integrative Biology with research interests in comparative physiology and animal behavior.
