The College of Liberal Arts & Sciences (CLAS) has launched an outreach initiative to the Colorado rural communities. The CLAS Office of Community Engagement (OCE) has begun to reach out to businesses, educators, health providers, and others within the rural areas. The goal of this outreach is to form partnerships with the communities, including learning about the various communities, sharing about CLAS’s program offerings, and brainstorming on how we can work together.

In January 2019, OCE will be publishing a quarterly newsletter entitled The Rural Reach that will cover topics related to rural development, regional issues, CLAS programs, and other related subjects. Also, the newsletter will include a survey to collect feedback from readers to help us understand the concerns, contributions, and opinions of the rural communities. We will be sharing this information through the newsletter to keep all communities informed.
