Dr. Ed Crowther Collegiate Opportunity Scholarship

In 2026, NHDC is offering the 2nd Annual Dr. Ed Crowther Collegiate Opportunity Scholarship

This scholarship, worth $500.00, is offered to ONE high school student in 12th grade based on the following requirements:

1. Has competed in at least 2 years of an NHD contest, advancing to the State Contest at least 1 year.

2. Has signed their letter of intent to attend the University of Colorado Denver and can provide evidence of their future enrollment.

3. Has a letter of recommendation from their NHD teacher that conveys their academic and extracurricular achievements.

4. Submits a resume that includes secondary accomplishments, and a high school transcript with a valid GPA.

All potential applicants for this scholarship must first email the CO State Director by March 15, 2026 at 5 pm to initiate the application process.

Ed Glassman Post-Baccalaureate History Scholarship

 In 2026, NHDC is offering the 1st Annual Ed Glassman Post-Baccalaureate History Scholarship

This graduate degree-level scholarship, worth $500.00, supports ONE National History Day educator who has chosen to pursue a Master's Degree in History at CU Denver. The scholarship does not cover the full cost of the program, but instead assists with reduced tuition.

The following requirements must be met to apply for this scholarship:

1. The educator must be enrolled in or enrolling in the MA in history and can provide evidence of their enrollment.

2. Has secured a letter of recommendation from their school principal.

3. Submits a vitae/resume of teaching experience, publications, and professional accomplishments. 

4. Been a registered NHD educator in the state of Colorado since 2022. 

All potential applicants for this scholarship must first email the CO State Director by March 15, 2026 at 5 pm to initiate the application process.
