MARC U-STAR students receive mentorship and guidance from CU Denver faculty, members of their research laboratories, and MARC U-STAR staff members during their time in the program. Students learn how to write research papers, prepare posters, and give oral presentations at scientific conferences. Students also have several opportunities to participate in workshops on how to prepare a resume or CV, write a personal statement, request letters of recommendation, prepare for the GRE, search for and apply to graduate programs, and many others! Academic advising is also provided to help students choose coursework and select the right path to a doctoral program and research career.
