At CU Denver, students can choose between two undergraduate majors: Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Science (BS). We also offer an accelerated master's program wherein students can get a BA or BS and an MPH in 5 years.

The PhD in Health & Behavioral Sciences (HBS) prepares students to be leaders in the interdisciplinary field of population health. Our program draws on theories and methods from the social, behavioral, and health sciences, to understand health, health behaviors, and health care. Apply by January 1st to start in Fall.

Welcome to Health and Behavioral Sciences

The Health & Behavioral Sciences department is home to an undergraduate program in Public Health, as well a doctoral program in Health & Behavioral Sciences. Our mission is to apply social science theory and innovative research methods to critically address emerging issues in health. We embrace a multidisciplinary approach to integrate social science and biomedical perspectives.
