Major Tasks
Coordinate 2 Courses/Workshops (> 3 hrs):
- Gather input on topics of interest to potential attendees
- Recruit presenters for short presentations
- Coordinate 2 courses/workshops for Spring 2015
- Create documentation for future coordinators
Create Presenter Database:
- Plan structure of database with input from others
- Gather relevant information from presenters
- Implement and populate database

Organizational Skills:
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Ability to predict logistical needs in hosting events and respond to unexpected needs as they come up
- Ability to document coordination process for future coordinators
Communication Skills:
- Ability to communicate professionally with students and faculty of UC Denver as well as professionals in the FOSS4G field
- Ability and desire to create and foster relationships with other individuals and organizations interested in supporting the the lab
- Ability to regularly report on project goals to Steering Committee and participate in discussion regarding the future directions of the lab
Personality Traits:
- Desire and ability to work in a fluid environment with evolving structure and tasks
- Desire to gain experience in coordination and communication skills
