Diana Tomback speaks at Southern Ute Museum Photo Unveiling

Ignacio, Colorado was host to the Southern Ute Bear Dance and Pow Wow over the Memorial Day weekend as well as a photo unveiling and wolf event at the Southern Ute Museum. Professor Diana Tomback of Integrative Biology delivered remarks at the Museum on behalf of Jim and Jamie Dutcher, National Geographic photographers.  Tomback had worked closely with the Dutchers with their donation of two photographs from the “Living With Wolves” traveling exhibit to the permanent collection of the Southern Ute Museum.  Dr. Tomback also spoke on wolf extirpation and suitability of Colorado for reintroduction on behalf of the Colorado Sierra Club and Rocky Mountain Wolf Project.
