Communication Associate Professor CT Patrick Dodge and Professor Stephen Hartnett co-planned a summer international conference, the National Communication Association-Communication University of China Conference on "Communication, Media, & Governance in the Age of Globalization" with Zhi Li and Qingwen Dong at the Communication University of China in Beijing, June 20-23. The conference included 79 presentations with a 22% acceptance rate. Presenters represented 10 countries with roughly 100 NCA scholars in attendance and more than 200 scholars total. Plans for a 2019 conference in Shenzhen China are underway.
