Starting in Fall 2018, the CU-Denver Department of Chemistry will offer the Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry. The BS Biochemistry will replace the existing Biochemistry Emphasis program, which is currently offered as a sub-plan option within the BS Chemistry degree. The curriculum for the new program is rooted in basic STEM disciplines and includes required foundational courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics, as well as advanced courses that emphasize links between basic science and human health. The new program was approved by the CU Board of Regents in its November 2017 meeting. Questions may be directed to Program Director Vanessa Fishback or Jeff Knight.
