Certificate Requirements

You will take courses from both the Physics Department and the Electrical Engineering Department. We offer this certification at either undergraduate or graduate level. You will have a more rigorous set of requirements with graduate-level certificate coursework. Your certificate covers the following topics:

Are you ready to take this certificate?

Current Degree-Seeking Student: 

  • Meet with a Physics Department Advisor to determine your eligibility to declare the certificate at either the undergraduate or graduate level.
  • Fall and Spring registration.

Non-Degree Seeking Student:

  • Previous experience in physics and/or related fields is recommended for the undergraduate level, while previous experience is highly recommended for the graduate level certificate to ensure eligibility.
  • You may be asked to interview with the department chair to learn about your qualifications and what best options are for you.
  • Once eligible, you’ll be provided with additional steps need to apply to the University of Colorado Denver.
  • Fall registration.
