No, you are not required to pay the $73 ESL application fee.

You will automatically be directed to pay or allowed the option to pay after you submit the application. If you do not pay within 3 days, you will receive another notification with an email link. After 7 days, you will receive a final reminder notice to pay the $73 fee unless you notified us of your specific situation and alternative payment or conditions have been agreed to by both parties.

Yes, you will receive an email receipt.  

The University of Colorado does not provide refunds for application fee payments. If you have made a duplicate payment by accident, please send us an email to esl@ucdenver.edu​ and explain what happened.
