We have heard from a number of you that the Chancellor’s announcement from last week is generating a lot of questions about what we will look like for fall 2021. It is unlikely to be fall 2019, but also unlikely to be fall 2020. Please know that the top priority remains the health and safety of our campus community. To that end, a task force is being formed to plan what returning to campus means and how it will be done within public health guidelines and vaccination progress. The task force will be similar to, but not the same as, what CU Denver did for Safe Return in summer 2020. One important piece, particularly for staff, will be examining our policies on flex space and flex time. We showed we can work remotely successfully.
We want to have a rewarding and vibrant on campus experience for our students who will choose to come to campus. We also know that having choice in modes of delivery is critical to the success of our students, many of whom have busy and complicated lives. As we build our portfolio of offerings for the fall, with attention to increasing our on-campus offerings, we will also continue to support the delivery and development of effective remote and online sections. We will share more information and strategy about planning for Fall courses as it becomes available.
We thank all of you for your dedication, commitment, selflessness, and time this past year. You have been extraordinary.
