The Marti Barrett Scholarship honors the memory of a person who made a real difference at UCD. Marti was a chemistry professor and then registrar in her distinguished career. She believed in people's ability to accomplish almost anything, she knew how to encourage them in their pursuits, and she was always there for anyone who needed her help when times were rocky.

Undergraduate UCD women majoring in one of the natural or physical sciences are eligible for this scholarship. Calls for self-nominations are requested in October to early November of each year (see the department for specific information).

Graduate students are responsible for all tuition and fees related to their graduate education. Tuition waivers are not available.

All incoming MS students who wish to obtain a teaching assistantship should contact the Laboratory supervisors directly for position availability. Teaching assignments, requirements and expectations for all Teaching Assistants will be discussed during the required TA orientation session held on a semester basis. Funding is determined on the basis of course(s) assigned and length of contract. Full-time positions are equivalent to five lab sections during the academic year, three during one semester and two the other, paying approximately $10,000 during the academic year for graduate students.

The Robert Damrauer Scholarship honors the many contributions that Dr. Damrauer has made and continues to make to the Chemistry Department and to the broader University of Colorado Denver community. Bob Damrauer has been a guiding light to the chemistry department at the University of Colorado Denver for over 40 years.

Current or returning CU Denver undergraduate or graduate students majoring in Chemistry who are at risk of leaving the major due to financial hardship are eligible for this scholarship, as well as superior Chemistry majors bound for a Ph.D program in Chemistry. The amount of scholarships will be $2500.00
