The schedule adjustment form may be used when self-service registration options are not available on UCDAccess or when signatures are required for adding courses and requesting overloads.
Instructor Consent
Starting in the second week of the semester through Census, instructor consent may be required to add a course to your class schedule. If you are trying to enroll in a course that requires "instructor consent" you will need to use the Schedule Adjustment form. Fill out the form, have the instructor sign off, and then turn the signed form into the Registrar. The Registrar will manually enroll you in the class once you have submitted the form with your instructor's signature, on condition that there are still seats available.
Late Add
Register for classes through the student portal until the end of the enrollment period. The schedule adjustment form with instructor and authority signature must be completed for adding classes after the add/drop deadline for each semester as outlined in the Academic Calendar.
Overload
If you wish to take more than 18 semester credit hours in the Fall or Spring semester, or more than 12 credit hours in the Summer term, you must obtain an authority signature from your CLAS academic advisor. Students are advised to schedule an acadecmic advising appointment to request an overload.
