Biography
y name is Marlie Thompson and I recently graduated from the University of Alabama with a Bachelors of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a concentration on Sociology and Social Justice, as well as a minor in Public Policy. My academic interests include drug use and culture, crime and deviance, social movements, and social stratification, among others. I am on the Board of Directors of Students for Sensible Drug Policy, the largest grassroots organization of young people dedicated to ending the war on drugs, and I started the first chapter in the state of Alabama in 2022. I grew up in Birmingham, AL and this will be my first time living outside the state. I love trying new food and drinks, hanging out with cats and dogs, and attempting arts and crafts like crochet. I can't wait to be a part of the UC Denver community!
