
I am a registered dietitian and doctoral student working in research and as a teaching assistant. My research interests lie at the intersection of race/ ethnicity, socioeconomic status and nutrition. In my current research, I use diverse methods to examine socio-cultural constraints on food choices in a socially stratified population. I have worked at Women, Infants and Children (WIC) and as clinical dietitian specializing in trauma and oncology. I hold a BS in Nutrition and Fitness with a minor in Spanish, and an MS in Nutrition Science from Colorado State University.
