Awards and Funding Opportunities

Outstanding Undergraduate in Public Health

In Spring 2022 the Health and Behavioral Sciences department will recognize up to two graduating students by awarding them "Outstanding Undergraduate in Public Health." This award is intended to honor Public Health majors who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to public health during their time at CU Denver. In addition to performing well in public health coursework, this commitment could be demonstrated through public health-related contributions to campus or the community and/or leadership in the Public Health program. Please reference the link below for more information about eligibility and how to apply or visit our website to learn more about previous recipients. Applications are due February 28th.

Spring EURēCA Grant Deadline February 11

The EURēCA! Supplies and Travel Grant Program (formerly UROP) is a competitive grant program managed by the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities. EURēCA Grants support original student-driven research, creative, and other scholarly activities under the mentorship of a CU Denver | Anschutz faculty mentor. Grants of $500 are administered each October and February to be used on project supplies, conference and workshop registration, and/or travel costs.

Colorado Summer Institute in Biostatistics Training Program

The Colorado Summer Institute in Biostatistics (CoSIBS) is an interdisciplinary training and research program that introduces undergraduate and early graduate students to the field of biostatistics. Biostatistics is the theory and application of statistics in biological systems and biomedical research. This program exposes students to diverse research in the medical and public health setting using a wide array of applications representative of the field of biostatistics. Students will interact and learn from our excellent faculty across multiple departments and campuses at the University of Colorado.

Summer Research Training at CU Anschutz

The Summer Research Training Programs (SRTP) are paid, 8-week researchinternships on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, with eachtrack focusing on a different aspect of science. These programs are aimed atcreating opportunities for undergraduate students who have been historically underrepresented science. The 8-week internship will culminate in both oraland poster presentations as part of a campus-wide summer research symposium.Participation in the program provides students with hands-on experience in alaboratory environment, training to succeed in scientific careers, and a network offaculty and graduate students to provide longitudinal mentorship.

The Colorado Public Health Association is hosting a webinar series on versatile ways to get involved with its organization.
