Outstanding Undergraduate in Public Health Award
Summer/Fall 2020 Deadline to Apply is September 22, 2020
In Fall 2020, the Health and Behavioral Sciences department will recognize up to two graduating students by awarding them "Outstanding Undergraduate in Public Health." This award is intended to honor Public Health majors who demonstrate an outstanding commitment to public health during their time at CU Denver. In addition to performing well in public health coursework, this commitment could be demonstrated through public health-related contributions to campus or the community and/or leadership in the Public Health program. Candidates may self-nominate or be nominated by faculty. Please reference the flyer below for more information about eligibility and how to apply or visit our website to learn more about last year's recipients.
Census date is your last day to drop full-term courses with financial adjustment, the last day to add full-term classes with instructor approval, the last day to request grade forgiveness, and the last day to apply for Fall 2020 graduation via UCD Access. The deadline for all of these adjustments is 5:00pm on the 2nd.
Seasonal Influenza: Strategies for Vaccination, Prevention and Control Webinar
The Center for Global Health at CSPH is hosting the Seasonal Influenza: Strategies for Vaccination, Prevention and Control Webinar on October 26-
30, 2020 from 8:00AM to 9:15AM. This event is to promote an open forum for a constructive, moderated discussion on the available evidence in the development and use of seasonal influenza vaccines, along with their advantages and disadvantages, in an academic environment devoid of conflict of interest. The work will help lead to better decision making in low and middleincome countries and will assist with the development of a white paper on influenza vaccines. You will hear from expert leaders who have worked directly with seasonal influenza in the Latin America and Caribbean areas.
