Writing Resource from University of Chicago Department of Anthropology

Jean Scandlyn shared this excellent writing resource. She said, "Writing is a central activity for researchers whether in academic or research appointments or in public or private organizations. Somatosphere, a website with listserv run from the Department of Anthropology (though multi-disciplinary) at the University of Chicago, is sponsoring a series, Writing Life. I often find it helpful to read how other scholars view the writing process – I never know where the next helpful suggestion or inspiring example may come from."

Writing Life focuses on the craft of writing in the social studies of medicine. Amidst the current challenges to making texts, this series invites scholars in our field to take time to reflect, in conversation with each other, on how to navigate and nurture their craft.
