Olivia Ruffe

Bio:
I’m a writing instructor at CU Denver. I’m an English teacher by day and a film lover by night—and I’ll buy you a coffee if you love Wong Kar-wai. My research is primarily in film and media, weaving together narrative, affect, and feminist theory. I’m especially drawn to Asian cinema, focusing on representations of women. I find the most fulfillment in my work when I see young writers begin to think more deeply and empathetically about the world around them.
