Maeve Murphy has been selected as the recipient of the Richard T. Dillon Scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. Maeve's application stood out among a highly competitive group of candidates. The committee was especially impressed by their academic achievements and thoughtful aspirations for the future.
This scholarship recognizes undergraduate excellence in the English Department. Professor Dillon (1933-2015) taught in the Department from 1969-1999. His love of teaching, travelling all over the world, and linking literature to opera music endeared him to his students and colleagues. Annually, we honor his memory with this scholarship.
