Artificial Intelligence (AI) is upending how we write and communicate–in our workplaces, at school, creatively, and interpersonally. Writing professionals across many fields are increasingly expected to know how to use AI in a rapidly changing environment.
In completing this certificate, students will question what this influx of AI writing tools means for us as writers, readers, and humans as well as gain the foundational skills needed to write and edit alongside AI.
The Writing and Editing with AI certificate program is an opportunity for students to design their own tracks of formal study at the intersections of writing and AI and to gain hands-on and professional experience writing with AI (through internships and experiential/client-partnered courses).
The "Writing and Editing with AI" Undergrad Certificate will be available to students in the Summer of 2025!
