Each summer, the Denver Writing Project offers a week-long Advanced Institute for educators to develop their own writing and work on becoming better teachers of writing. Teachers from all disciplines and all grade levels are welcome to join us for a week committed to themselves and each other as we continue to develop our skills as teachers/writers. During the week we’ll write, share effective practices in the teaching of writing, attend short seminars offered by professional writers and teachers from our area, and be in community with one another to restore and revitalize.
When: Monday June 5th - Friday June 9th; 9am - 3pm
Demonstrations from professional writers and educators.
The chance to write and publish in the Denver Writing Project Summer Anthology.
Encouragement and feedback from other writers and teachers.
We hope you'll join us!
The DWP will provide a certificate for completion of 30 hours of professional development.
Please feel free to invite colleagues and friends to attend the Advanced Institute. You don't have to be an alumni of the Invitational Summer Institute (ISI) to partake in this week-long writing and professional development opportunity, although many who do participate are alumni of the ISI; if that's you come re-connect with the Denver Writing Project this summer.
