Lindsey Hamilton, the Director of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities, is proud to announce the winners of the 2018-2019 Education through Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (EURēCA!) Student Travel Award. This competitive award provided up to $1500 for CU Denver undergraduates to attend a conference, meeting, or workshop to disseminate results or contribute to their research, creative, or other scholarly activities.
Mais Al-Nima, a sociology major, will be traveling to California for the Pacific Sociological Association Conference. Aleezah Balolia and Abigail Smith, students in Dr. Benjamin Greenwood's Exercise Behavioral Neuroscience Lab, will be attending the Experimental Biology meeting in Orlando, Florida in April.
Esther Bellinksky, Ana McKnight, Walter King, and Kyle Gerken will be attending the Model Arab League in Salt Lake City, UT. Joshua Elsarboukh will be attending the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory annual winter collaboration meeting to continue his research into dark matter with mentor Dr. Amy Roberts. Ahja Fox and James Craig Hartz Jr, both English Creative Writing majors, will attend the Boldface Conference in Houston, TX and the 2019 American Writing Programs Conference in Portland, OR, respectively.
Alexander Morales, a psychology student, will attend the Vision Science Society Annual Meeting to present his research on visual attention being conducted in Dr. Carly Leonard's laboratory. Jake Viache and Asher Jorgenson will present their research with Business School faculty Traci Stizmann at the National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Atlanta, GA. Hossna Yasini, working in Dr. Emilie Guidez's computational chemistry laboratory, will be presenting a poster at the American Chemical Society Conference.
