Asma Al-Masyabi, Creative Writing Major, received the 2024 Inaugural Lit Fest Creative Writing Scholarship. Asma is a poet, writer, visual artist, and student based in Colorado. She is a Scholastic Silver Medal Poetry winner and Ruth Weiss Foundation Emerging Poet Award winner with publications in The Cincinnati Review, Subnivean, Santa Clara Review, and more. She's currently pursuing a degree in creative writing at the University of Colorado Denver and looks forward to a career filled with words and art, her two biggest passions.
