On April 6, the Office of Advancement is launching the second annual CU Giving Day, and this year's theme is "Making It Real." This crowd-source fundraising campaign is an opportunity for our alumni, faculty, staff, and supporters to do their part in increasing affordability, supporting our students in their unique journeys, and giving them monetary assistance to achieve their dreams. You don't have to wait until April 6th - you can learn more and begin giving now at the CU Denver Giving Day webpage. I'd like to thank Associate Dean John Swallow for championing The Dean's Award for Excellence as part of this year's efforts.
I also need to make you aware that Rob Stiner, our dedicated Assistant Dean of Finance and Administration, will be stepping down from his position. Starting April 4, he will transition to a part-time roll for the rest of this fiscal year. Rob has done herculean work by my side over the last six months on our budget decision making. He has also faithfully overseen the finance, accounting, and human resources functions in the college for the past couple years while developing critical relationships with the Associate Deans and serving as college representative on numerous campus and system finance-related committees. To say that Rob will be missed is a vast understatement. The search for this position will begin in the next few months. In the meantime, Megan Jorgensen and Pam Sulsona will be assuming greater responsibilities in each of their roles and we are extremely thankful for their willingness to do so.
