In fall 2023, Dr. Resendiz was granted a renewal of his R15 grant (2R15GM132816-02) to pursue projects on the impact of 8-oxoG on the structure of RNA. The NIH also granted a supplement award to purchase instrumentation associated with the same project (3R15GM132816-02S1). In addition, the Resendiz group was awarded an R03 grant (1R03AI185538-01) in spring 2024 to characterize and study the sequence 5'-GUAC as an important sequence motif in RNA.
