Professor Weldon Lodwick, Department of Mathematical and Statistical Sciences, and CTT Professor of Physics Masoud Asadi-Zeydabadi recently published, “Analysis of COVID-19 pandemic in USA, using Topological Weighted Centroid,” in Computers in Biology and Medicine. They analyzed COVID-19 outbreaks using data-driven intelligent geographical dynamical systems that models disease spread in space and time. Collaborators from Semeion Research Center of Sciences of Communication (in Rome, Italy) included Massimo Buscema, Giulia Massini, and Francesca Della Torre.
