CU Denver will be hosting the CoorsTek Denver Metro Regional Science and Engineering Fair (DMRSEF), virtually this year, from February 15-22, 2021. The fair isn’t possible without hundreds of volunteers and judges, many from the CU Denver community. The mission of the fair is to prepare the next generation of STEM professionals by fostering an enthusiasm for science and inquiry. The annual event offers students an opportunity to engage the Denver metro STEM community and to present their original research in an atmosphere of competition, creativity, education, and fun. The virtual format will present new ways for faculty, staff and students to get involved (more information here). For example, new to the fair this year will be “Speak with a Scientist” Panels. These one hour virtual presentations will team up 2-3 STEM professionals. Each panelist will give a 3-5 minute presentation about themselves, their educational path and their career experiences. After the presentations, the panelists will be available for Q&A with the students, families and teachers who register for the session.
