Hartmann publishes on Dark Tourism

Associate Professor C/T in Geography Rudi Hartmann is co-editor of The Palgrave Handbook of Dark Tourism StudiesThe Handbook has 30 chapters including on U.S. memorials for the victims of massacres and violence, on slavery at Southern plantation museums, on seismic memorial sites in China and on tourism to Holocaust memorial sites in Central/Eastern Europe. Hartmann has been invited to serve on a dark tourism panel for the Journal of Tourism History. On February 14, he was interviewed for a feature article on dark tourism in the Neue Zuercher Zeitung, leading newspaper in Switzerland.
