CLAS Research Innovation Seed Program (CRISP) funds are designated specifically to promote innovative research and creative activities and encourage the submission of applications for externally funded research. CRISP funds are intended to provide seed money to fund studies used in grant proposals and to facilitate research and creative activities that could not be completed successfully with currently available resources.CRISP has two tracks, one aimed at faculty in areas which, although sometimes funded by prestigious and important grants, are not generally funded by large dollar awards (Track A) and the other targeted at faculty with research projects with greater potential for obtaining large external grants (Track B). The college expects to make 3-4 awards in each Track: Awards up to $5,000 are possible for Track A and awards of up to $10,000 for Track B. More information and the application can be found here (submit applications in the Dean’s Office or by email to Laura.Argys@ucdenver.edu).

The CLAS Dissemination Grant is a competitive program that provides an opportunity for tenure-track, tenured, and clinical teaching track faculty to obtain up to $2000 per academic year for disseminating research and creative work via publication (page and other publication charges), travel to support presentations at professional meetings, website design related to communication of research results, or other scholarly dissemination venues. Applicants must complete the Dissemination Grant Application Form and include an abstract of the research or creative activity to be presented, published, or promoted. To remain eligible for funding in future years, grant recipients must provide a brief report on the dissemination activities supported by the grant within six months of their completion. Completed applications must be received via email to CLAS.Dissemination@ucdenver.edu. Please contact Associate Dean Laura Argys (Laura.Argys@ucdenver.edu) with questions.

The Diversity and Inclusion Initiatives Fund (DIIF) is targeted to promote CLAS’s strategic priority "to enhance diversity across the college and foster a culture of inclusion." The DIIF aims particularly to fund projects that encourage people to think about diversity and inclusion in meaningful ways and to make positive changes in CLAS and the broader campus. DIIF supports 2 types of awards: this semester deadline awards of up to $2,500 must be submitted by March 2; while rolling awards of up to $500 are applied for throughout the academic year. More information and the application can be found here.
