The Fall 2017 Mini Grant Program represents a second round of CU Denver Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) grants being administered by the Office of Undergraduate Experiences. UROP is a competitive program designed to financially support mentored undergraduate research, most broadly understood as including all creative and other scholarly activities. UROP provides an opportunity to extend learning outside the traditional classroom, laboratory, or studio. Approximately 20 UROP awards of up to $500 each (based upon submissions) will be awardedn. Any degree-seeking undergraduate student at CU Denver who has completed a minimum of 15 semester hours of coursework with a cumulative CU grade point average of ≥ 2.5 may apply. As part of their budget, students may request stipends, funding to cover dissemination costs, and support to defray the cost of materials. Educational costs such as tuition are not covered, as a UROP grant is not a scholarship.
