Casey D. Allen, Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences, was selected in a national search as the new Editor for The Geographical Bulletin, the scholarly journal published by Gamma Theta Upsilon – the International Geography Honor Society. First published in 1970 and producing two volumes each year, the Bulletin’s primary mission rests in providing an outlet for publishing original student research, though submissions from other researchers are welcome. In addition, Allen has been asked to serve as Senior Advisor for Jordan’s Sustainable Cultural Heritage through Engagement of Local Communities Project (SCHEP) in Wadi Rum (Jordan). This SCHEP program is a USAID-funded initiative currently administered by the American Center for Oriental Research (ACOR) in Amman, Jordan.
