Dr. Christine Sargent is wrapping up several publications and is waiting for copy edits on her forthcoming monograph Making Down Syndrome: Motherhood and Kinship Futures in Urban Jordan, which will be out with Rutgers University Press in Fall 2025 or Winter 2026. She is stuck in the proverbial quicksand with a forthcoming article on stigma, which will (hopefully) be published in Medical Anthropology Quarterly. Also imminent is a book chapter on “disability, development, and personhood,” which will be in an edited volume, Mapping Medical Anthropology in the 21 st Century, also published by Rutgers Press.
