Welcome to CU Denver!
If you are a newly admitted first-year (freshman) student, you are in the right place. All incoming first-year students are required to attend a New Student Orientation (NSO). Please contact the New Student Orientation Office at (303) 315-3503 for assistance getting signed up for a NSO. College of Liberal Arts and Sciences students will meet with CLAS advisors at a breakout session at NSO where they will receive information on degree requirements, will have their initial college advising holds removed and will be able to work with a CLAS advisor on course registration.
If you are starting in Spring 2019 semester, please note that there will only be online NSOs. Therefore, admits for spring 2019 must complete these two initial requirements in order to be eligible to enroll in classes:
- Complete the general university online NSO.
- Attend an Advising 1001 session with CLAS Advising. At Advising 1001, you will learn about your degree requirements, how advising works in CLAS and will receive assistance in selecting and enrolling in your initial semester classes. Your college advising hold will be removed and you will be assigned to a CLAS Advisor upon attendance at Advising 1001. Please click here to sign up for an Advising 1001 session.
*Please note that if you are undeclared, pre-business, or pre-engineering, pre-architecture, and not a declared CLAS Major, you will need to contact the Academic Success & Advising Center (ASAC) at (303)315-1940 or email@example.com for advising information.
