Incoming Students

The information below is intended for incoming CLAS students preparing for their Orientation Advising and Registration appointment. During your appointment, you may identify important next steps to complete before your first semester begins. Review the guidance below to prepare for registration and stay on track throughout your first term.

Identify Advising Resources

CLAS uses a collaborative advising model designed to support students from the first semester through graduation. In addition to an assigned CLAS Academic Advisor, all declared CLAS students are connected with a Major Advisor, and pre‑health students receive additional support from Health Professions Advisors.

Finalize Class Schedule

Students are advised to finalize class schedules before the add/drop deadline (Census Day). The Academic Calendar should be consulted for important dates and deadlines, including the opening and closing of registration for each term.
