Ekene Nwosu's academic interests concern how different families handle financial challenges while maintaining social standards, with an emphasis on how gender interactions and family structures are activated when finances become limited. As a first-generation graduate student who has been to Nigeria, Florida, New York, Louisiana, Texas, and South Carolina, I provide a unique perspective on how to understand family resilience in a variety of cultural situations. Outside of school, I love to bike, bake vegan desserts, collect colorful Kandi bracelets, and I'm a passionate Formula 1 fan, supporting the McLaren and Mercedes teams.
