Once you’ve been admitted to CU Denver, please follow these steps towards your certificate’s completion:
- If you speak Spanish at home or have taken any Spanish classes, you must take the Placement Test before enrolling in your first class. Please get in touch with the program director at maria.fernandezmartinez@ucdenver.edu
- Once enrolled in your first class, you need to fill out the CLAS Undergraduate Certificate Intent to Declare Form.
- Students must complete twelve (12) credit hours from approved courses, including two medical Spanish classes and two electives.
- Students can transfer six credit hours to satisfy their certificate’s requirements.
- Students must contact the certificate director to have their electives pre-approved.
- Students must earn a minimum grade of C or better in all certificate courses.
- You must complete the CLAS Undergraduate Certificate Completion Verification Form in your last semester to receive your Medical Spanish credential.
Please keep these deadlines and completion form completion in mind!
