CERTIFICATE IN SPANISH FOR THE HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONS

If you speak Spanish at an intermediate level, are a heritage Spanish speaker, or have taken any Spanish classes before, please get in touch with the program director, Dr. María Luisa Fernández Martínez, with your result in the Placement test, before enrolling in these courses to plan your classes.

 1.Two required courses:

SPAN 3740/SPAN 5740. Spanish for the Healthcare Professions I (online) Typically Offered: Fall.

SPAN 3750/SPAN 5750. Spanish for the Healthcare Professions II (online) Typically Offered: Spring.

 2.Two electives:

HDFR 4045. Abuelos (Grandparents) Latino Families.

LDFS 3000. Undocumented Mexican Migration.

PSYC 4485. Psychology of Cultural Diversity.

SOCY 4050. Health Disparities.

SOCY 4110. Sociology of Health Care.

SPAN 2010/2020. Second Year Spanish I and II.
