Transfer Students

Transfer Students

Transfer students find a welcome home in International Studies. More than half of our majors transfer from other instititutions, and our advisors are happy to work with students while they are still finishing courses elsewhere. Transfer students typically meet with an International Studies advisor as soon as they are interested in our degree program.

A total of 24 credits for the major must be completed at CU Denver (48 total). Four of our five introductory courses can easily be completed at other institutions, and relevant upper-division courses from four-year institutions are generally accepted into the major.

Newly admitted transfer students should follow the procedure outlined by the acceptance letter from the Admissions Office to begin having transcript(s) evaluated. Transfer students who have begun taking classes at CU Denver should meet with their CLAS advisor to discuss their transcript evaluation and should meet with an International Studies advisor to map out their major.
