Published: Feb. 16, 2023

The INTS program expresses immense gratitude to Dr. Alison Shah, who is retiring from CU Denver on March 8, 2023. As Assistant Director of the INTS program since 2015, Dr. Shah has advised countless students, helping them to achieve their academic and professional goals. In her role, Dr. Shah led the overall development of the INTS major and minor, working with stakeholders inside and outside the University to create opportunities for students and alumni—from new courses to career development resources. She contributed to all aspects of the academic program, including establishing objectives, prioritizing initiatives, evaluating outcomes, programming, and curriculum management. As part-time Director of Religious Studies, Dr. Shah secured a $500,000 gift to fund an Endowed Professorship in Jain Studies - the first and only Endowed Professorship in the College. Dr. Shah’s contributions to our learning community have been extraordinary, and she will be incredibly missed by her colleagues and friends at CU Denver. We wish her well.

Following Dr. Shah's retirement, INTS Program Director, Hamilton Bean, will conduct advising duties for the remainder of spring 2023.
