Erica Huss earned a BA in Political Science and two minors - one in International Studies, and the other in Economics - from CU Denver in 2016 before her unexpected passing. Erica was a dedicated student and active member of Phi Theta Kappa, Golden Key Honor Society, and Co-President of both the Pi Sigma Alpha Honor Society and the CU Denver Department of Political Science Student Association. Her interests included international business, political economy, the U.S./Russia relationship, and the study of U.S. embassies abroad. In 2017, the Department of Political Science and the International Studies program established the Erica Huss Memorial Scholarship for Global Citizenship to honor Erica's memory and to help, each year, a deserving CU Denver student study at the United Nations through and intensive summer program in which Erica participated and valued. This year, we are delighted to award the Erica Huss Memorial Scholarship for Global Citizenship to Claudia Ledezma.
