The CLAS Staff Council invites your nominations for outstanding staff in the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (CLAS) to be recognized for excellence in service and engagement on behalf of the College in the categories listed below.

Please read the details of the eligibility criteria for each award and the nominations review process posted on the CLAS Staff Council website.
You may nominate an individual staff member for more than one award category as long as they meet the eligibility criteria. However, an employee may not be selected as the winner for more than one award category.
Nominations will be accepted from March 1 to March 31 and the winners will be notified by Staff Council by April 25th.
The award categories are:
- Outstanding Newcomer
- Student Engagement

Outstanding Newcomer
$500 Award
The CLAS Outstanding Newcomer Staff Award provides recognition for a staff member who is new to the college (employed no less than 6 months and no more than 18 months) and demonstrates outstanding service, initiative, and/or achievement. These contributions must provide a significant benefit specifically for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver campus.
Student Engagement
$500 Award
The CLAS Outstanding Student Engagement Staff Award provides recognition for a staff member who demonstrates excellent service, initiative, and/or achievement expressly related to serving, assisting or engaging with students in an outstanding way. These contributions must provide a significant benefit to students specifically enrolled in the University of Colorado Denver College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Community Engagement
$500 Award
The CLAS Outstanding Community Engagement Staff Award provides recognition for a staff member who demonstrates excellent service, initiative, and/or achievement specifically as related to serving, assisting or engaging with community members, university partners, community service organizations and/or alumni in an outstanding way. These contributions must provide a significant benefit specifically for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver campus.
CLAS Outstanding Staff Award
$1000 Award
The CLAS Outstanding Staff Award provides recognition for a staff member who demonstrates outstanding service, leadership, ability, initiative, and/or achievement. These contributions must provide a significant benefit specifically for the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at the University of Colorado Denver campus.
