24th Annual Research & Creative Activities Symposium goes virtual on April 30, 2021

Published: March 5, 2021

The Annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) is coming up on April 30, 2021. We are happy to announce it will be hosted on the virtual conference platform Symposium to allow for both asynchronous and synchronous celebrations of the research conducted by our students at CU Denver | Anschutz.

Students from all disciplines are encouraged to present, and both undergraduate and graduate submissions are welcome. Student abstract applications are due on April 9, 2021 to reserve their presentation spots. They can choose from three formats of poster presentations, oral presentation, or media/performance/display exhibits. Although all judging will occur based on the asynchronous submissions, students can also opt in to present their pitches or oral presentations during live sessions on April 30. Details will continue to be posted on the RaCAS Website: https://www.ucdenver.edu/sites/research-day/home

Please encourage your students to join us in celebrating their hard work during very challenging circumstances this year. If they have any questions, the Office of Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (URCA) is providing office hours and preparatory workshops. All event information can be found through our events page: https://www.ucdenver.edu/lynxconnect/events .

To make this day possible, we need your help. Please advertise with the attached flyer through your channels and join us as a judge. You will need to make a Symposium account and register here to sign up as a judge: tinyurl.com/2021-racas-judges .

JUDGES NEEDED!

The University of Colorado Denver's 24th annual Research and Creative Activities Symposium (RaCAS) is coming up on Friday, April 30th and we need judges!

RaCAS is CU Denver's annual celebration of research and creative scholarship, featuring the works of undergraduate and graduate students across a variety of disciplines. This year, students will be presenting their projects via the online platform Symposium as posters, oral presentations, and exhibits. Judging will take place April 28th-April 30th, and we are seeking volunteers to review asynchronous project materials (April 28th-30th, at your leisure) and 'live' student presentations (April 30th, 10am-3pm, 1-hr sessions).

If you are interested in signing up, please visit the RaCAS website and click the "Register to Judge" button: https://www.ucdenver.edu/sites/research-day/home

You will be prompted to create an account in Symposium before you are able to access the judge registration form.

I sincerely appreciate you lending your time to help CU Denver students grow in their scholarly pursuits! Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best,
