Brian Buma , Associate Professor, was featured in National Geographic Magazine, June 2021 issue and also received grants to study Colorado wildfires.   In November, he released his first book, The Atlas of a Changing Climate (Timber Press, $35).

Dr. Diana Tomback, Professor, was interviewed this summer, along with several other researchers, botanists, and tree climbers about their efforts to save the Important whitebark pine known as a keystone species for the many benefits the trees provide.
