Hi everyone! 

I'm Margaret Garcia, the new GAC student rep. The fall semester is getting close and it’s time to welcome our new graduate students to the department. This year’s BioBlitz is scheduled for the first week of seminar (8/27, 12-1) and will be virtual this year. For those of you who aren’t familiar, the BioBlitz is a chance for incoming grad students to learn about the research going on in our department. Current grad students and faculty give very short (2 minutes max!) talks about their research, with the goal of giving our incoming students a brief overview of the research currently happening in the department.   

It would be great if we could get presentations from all current graduate students and faculty! Try to limit each presentation to 1 slide and 2 minutes or less. (Remember, this is a blitz!)  Please email your slides to me by Wednesday (8/25) so I can put them together. I will try to group presentations by lab group and similar research.
