Health and Behavioral Sciences

My work in public health has focused on a variety of areas, including health literacy, infectious disease surveillance and research, online/e-learning solutions, and nutrition status in maternal and child populations.

My primary public health interests include sustainable food systems, global food fortification efforts, ready-to-use therapeutic food (RUTF) development and use, as well as the delivery of cost-effective nutrition interventions.

I serve as CU Denver’s first public health instructor at the International College Beijing, a joint education program with China Agricultural University. This partnership allows me to use my desire to promote health and education equity internationally, creating a global classroom that focuses on inclusion, collaboration, and innovation.
